A documentary about a married couple who come from different parts of the world and struggle to make their relationship work. The husband, Makin, is Palestinian and his wife, Freya, is Danish. The film begins in Ramallah, Palestine, where they began their relationship and follows them to Scandinavia 10 months later where they now live separately in Malmo, Sweden and Copenhagen, Denmark. The film deals with the struggles of Freya and Makin to build their relationship across borders and also manage the conflict between Makin and Freya’s dad, who is skeptical about their relationship from the very beginning.
